Majorette is a French toy manufacturer of diecast cars and other vehicles. The company has been around since the 1960's. The cars are sold in the US, but can be a little harder to find. Like other international toy makers, it's difficult to track down older models, so online is the only real option.
I started my Majorette journey by purchasing a few vintage models from the early 1980's (the 200 Series) thinking they could be strong as they were all-metal. This included the Fourbon van, El Camino and the Ford Transit. Unfortunately they were all very slow. After that I picked up the stretch limo from the late 80's, which was a 3-star performer. And more recently I found a couple of cars from the Premium Cars series which has me excited about this line. See details below.
