Kenner is a U.S. toy brand that's been around since the 1940s. Famous for action figures like Star Wars and Jurassic Park. In the early 80's they entered the diecast world with the release of Fast 111's (pronounced fast ones). Part of the gimmick was that each license plate featured a different U.S. state and there was a "certificate of ownership" you could fill out.
The cars are mostly fantasy themed and don't appear like they would be very fast at all (plastic and a bit flimsy). And if you race one right out of the blister, they'll be average speed at best. But these cars react well to graphite and with some dusting they are transformed into a very impressive set of diecast racing cars, especially considering their modest weight.
I've been able to secure all 38 models (most new in the blister) and have my rankings below. That said, there are a few that I suspect can be faster, so I may try and upgrade a few.
Key notes/considerations:

Key notes/considerations:
- I race on a two-lane, 27 foot Derby Magic track (equivalent to about one-third of a mile). The Derby track is 22% wider than a typical Hot Wheels orange track, allowing me to race some of the wider castings.
- I categorize my cars into speed tiers with 5-Stars being the best. The 5-star performers all have times under 2.500 seconds.
- I only count the fastest casting in my rankings for a specific car/brand.
- I've applied graphite to the cars, which really brings out the speed of the Fast 111's

The best Fast 111's. The fantasy car Turbo Tram, followed by Cam Rammer, Evil Eye and Diesel Demon. All 5-star performers. Evil Eye and Diesel Demon are the two heaviest in the series.

Rounding out the Top 10 are Master Blaster, Turbo Turret, and Shark Shifter, all 5-star performers. Followed by 4-star performers Cyclone 3, Emergency Van and Range Runner.

11 through 15 include Shooting Star, Saturn Seeker, Blazin' Bandit, Shiftin' Chevy and Street Boss. All 4-star performers.

Rounding out the Top 20 includes the Outlawer, Rallye Champ, the Piston Pusher funny car, Drag King and Dynamo. The first two are 4-star cars. The Drag King is only 29 grams and one of the fastest Featherweight cars.

Kenner Fast 111's Rankings
Below is my rankings of all 38 of the Kenner Fast 111's models. This is an outstanding series for speed.
- 7 of the 38 are ranked as 5-star performers and 10 are 4-star cars
- 4 of the fastest 7 Welterweight cars are from this series and 2 of the top 10 Middleweight cars are Fast 111's
- Some standouts:
- Turbo Tram is tied for 15th for the fastest overall car and is the #1 Welterweight car
- Cam Rammer is tied for the 20th fastest overall car and is tied as the 7th fastest Middleweight car
- Evil Eye is tied for the 24th fastest overall car and is the 6th fastest Light Heavyweight car
- Turbo Turret is the 2nd fastest Welterweight car
- Drag King is the 2nd fastest Featherweight car
